.........was more like a trial. I had finished the front & noticed the slightest hint of glue where it shouldn't be so thought I'd cover it with a butterfly trail....... well it looked awful, so awful I decided to try taking off the offending panels.......& you've guessed....... I couldn't & only just managed to salvage my image as everything was rather securely stuck down (I tend to be thorough). One part of Hippie Chick's clothing tore off but I managed to remove the jagged tears & so she no longer has the fold of her dress under one leg.

Challenge 54 at the Sugar Bowl is a sketch by Lilian with the optional theme of Clean & Simple. I decided not to worry about the CAS aspect but to just limit the embellishments: a tiny bit of Sakura Gel pen sparkle on the sock/leg warmer button, my butterflies (I shaped them using an embossing tool & mat) plus a couple of flower gems.

Stamp Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Hippie Chick.

Hi Paula, love this sassy image and the punching across the card. Thanks for taking part in the Sugar bowl challenge, good luck and happy crafting.
ReplyDeleteRegards Erika.
Really lovely card Paula. It's so frustrating when you find a bit of glue afterwards and then have to cover it up. Us crafters are quite clever at this though lol. I love your punched border and you have coloured Hippie Chick perfectly. Debs xx
ReplyDeleteWOW Paula!

Ha en fin kväll :)

Hi Paula dear!!!! Fantastic this card!!! I love the image and the colouring but especially I like the butterlies and also the inside of the card, you has so attention for every detail.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me hun and have a fabulous day.
Hugs, Giò
Oh it makes me crazy when I find a mistake and then make it worse when I try to fix it!! But your's turned out beautifully. Love the butterflies and the inking along the edges.
ReplyDeleteMade me laugh when i read trial instead of trail! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an ordeal. I sometimes drop bits of glue or smudges but I have learned not to panic, and to walk away until its dry (easier to remove quite often when dry). If things go from bad to worse the I just cut out the image, throw the rest away and put it to one side.
Glad you persisted with this though, it would have been a shame to lose all the hard work. Its so pretty in the details Paula. Gorgeous and delicate and matches the sassy image perfectly.
This is a great card, good luck with the challenge.
hugs
