Sponged Starling Silhouette at Sunrise Alphatag

The Baroque Guild Alphatag swap has brought home to me how often I think in alphabetical terms when sorting or arranging things; it tends to be almost automatic for me to arrange books or CDs A-Z by author or composer.

The bird image was wet embossed first in order to act as a resist so that I could sponge the sunrise background over it. I added both stencilled & gem stars to create an illusion of the night sky giving way to the dawn as the starling sings lustily. I also have some swirls decorating the back of my tag.

It's a very long time since I used this bird image (2008 I think) so I shall join in Judith's Forgotten Friday 64 with this tag.

  5. Paula the colors fading from blue down into the sunrise of yellow capture the break of dawn with colorful magic. The position of the shadow stamp is perfectly placed allowing the desity of the bushes to fill the bottom of the tag and draws the eye up to the top of the tree where the bird is perched and in mid-song. Smiles and hugs!

  9. Yet again you've come up with an awe inspiring (hate the word 'awesome') list of 'S' words for your tag - colours are beautiful as is the whole finished effect.

  16. Stunning Paula,

Stars rising and sunset falling on what has been on a beautiful day, a little bird sat high in a tree and having a final sing before settling for the night.

What else could I say other than so beautifully executed!!!

    hugs
    Heather xx
