Combining a new Lili of the Valley stamp with colouring using new pencils plus the "new to me" technique of shading immediately around my image to ground & give it definition rather than cutting out the image all make this project suitable for the current Lili of the Valley Challenge of New Beginnings. I have used Bev's sketch from Wild Orchid Challenge 14 rotating it 180 degrees clockwise & replacing the text with a snowflake. There are more new aspects to this project: a resolution to make a weekly Christmas themed project; & the idea of a new birth in the stamped image - both in the sense of the birth of Christianity & the birth of a baby; plus it could be a card for a little boy's first Christmas.
NB - I stamped the image just before Christmas, probably using Memento Tuxedo Black, but it may have been VersaFine Onyx Black.
Stamp Lili of the Valley Little Shepherd Boy.
Inks Memento Tuxedo Black (image but see NB above), Distress Ink (Chipped Sapphire) for inking some paper & cardstock edges.
Colouring Derwent Artists Pencils with paper stumps & Sansodor, Stickles Glitter Glue (ice Stickles Lemon Ice).
Cardstock An assortment of white, blue & gold in various textures & finishes from 'stash'.
Papers Dovecraft Winter Wonderland, Pearlescent Aqua & Dark Blue from "stash".
Punches, Dies etc... Woodware (Scalloped oval, corner, "Blink Blink", larger snowflake), Dovecraft (small white snowflake), Spellbinders Nestabilities (Labels Seventeen).
The gems & small star sequin are from "stash".
